Mike and Geoff were once partners in large, multi-office, corporate law firms. They left those firms with the goal of establishing a more creative, collaborative, and flexible environment that would deliver great value to our clients. The result: Kahn Gerber, a law firm far different from what most clients have experienced or expect. We are different on every level, from the way we are organized, to the space in which we work, to our views on the economics of the attorney-client relationship. We work as a team for all of our clients so they benefit from our collective judgment, experience, and skills.
We have no hierarchy, and our structure is nimble and lean. We understand that technology can be the great equalizer, both in court and in the boardroom. We know that the latest innovations in legal technology enable our clients to benefit from the speed, efficiency and quality of our analysis, counseling, and advocacy. Indeed, we often find ourselves in lawsuits where the other side has retained a huge national (or even international) law firm. We’ve been there and done that, and we’ve long since learned that no matter how many lawyers are seated at the other counsel table, only one gets to question the witness and respond to the judge’s question.
Because we are keenly sensitive to the cost of our services, we offer and encourage flexible fee structures that are based on the value of our work to the client, not on our firm’s costs. In this way, and through the use of fixed fee and retainer agreements, we are often able to provide our clients with more cost predictability without any sacrifice in quality.
