Pete Salsich has over 13 years of experience as a complex commercial and intellectual property litigator and counselor with a specialized focus on emerging technologies and information, and all aspects of the ownership, protection, use and transfer of rights associated with such technologies and information. This includes litigating and negotiating intellectual property licensing agreements and confidentiality and non-compete agreements, and helping clients develop strategies for identifying, marketing and protecting intellectual property, trade secrets and confidential information.
Pete’s first-chair jury trial, appellate, motion practice and TTAB experience has included copyright, trademark and patent litigation, licensing and royalty disputes, trade secrets, trade dress and design patent litigation, unfair competition, defamation, and rights of publicity and privacy. He has represented both software developers and purchasers of software development services, clients in the financial services industry, and a range of businesses in connection with trade secrets, non-competition and confidentiality agreements.
He clerked for the United States Court of Appeals for the Tenth Circuit, and is licensed in Missouri and Colorado.
Prior to attending law school, Pete was a successful freelance illustrator (he created the Billiken mascot for the St. Louis University Athletic Department), designed and sold playground equipment in the early childhood education market, and managed bars and restaurants in St. Louis and Lake Ozark, Missouri.
